New to Helena - What's the word?

Hello all, I'm new to Helena and would love to connect with some folks kitesurfing and boarding. Name's Jerome. What's the word with Lake Helena, the Regulating Reservoiur, Hauser, and Canyon Ferry? Is any of this really good? If not, where is the best water around here? I checked out the Reservoir yesterday and it looks like it may be great with some consistant wind... Thanks! Hey B- Thanks for the lesson and welcome. Kinda sad, water I can see all around and be to in 15 minuts but no surfing... I checked the land ownership maps for the Res and it's Federal all around sans a little chuunk on the North side. Could be sweet... maybe it's time to buy a new 15M and a surfboard... Is the wind just bad in Helena? I'm open for Snow sessions but, it'll have to be after work as I leave for bozeman most weekends. Is there anywhere close to town for boarding? Word.

For snow, we've been hearing
For snow, we've been hearing about Sieben Ranch north of Helena, and I've been tempted to check it out. I'm not sure of the exact details - where to park, etc. The snow might be gone for now though... If there's a good day and snow I might be able to meet up in the afternoon.

Lake Helena sometimes with a big kite and a big board.
Holding Res. Not unless you want to walk back. or get permission to cut down the trees.
Never even looked at Hauser. don't like the consequences of ending up on the other shore with no way back
Canyon ferry is super hit and miss but there are great spots and great days out there.
Martinsdale 100 miles and then up north towards Augusta 80 miles seem to be the best and most consistent. I nailed it all down last year. I will give you a call. Gary mentioned your name to me, and welcome to helena.
