hey everyone new to the sport, I am wondering where there are some good kite spots in the big sky area (boze and west could be helpful too).

The First Place To Look

is the "Kite Spots" section on this web site.

After that, check out Kiteforum and go to their snow section. If you look back at old posts or do a search you will find dozens of spots in SW Montana.

what sized kite for Big Sky area, 9m or 12?

I too want to kite near Big Sky. I'll be snowboarding for the week starting Saturday but if there's wind nearby I'd rather kite.

I looked at the Kite Spots and forum and it seems like most places are a couple hour's drive (a long way when you're on vacation and not to wired for the conditions). I couldn't find Bucks Creek Ridge on Google Maps. Maybe they'll know about it at the ski base but the guy I talked to on the phone had never seen snow kiting. Anyway, maybe I'll just play around on the Big Sky golf course.

Which kite should I bring, my 9m or 12m? (inflatable North Rebels)

Thanks! Give me a ring if you want to ride. 917-576-6770
